                I came in a bit early today. I am happy that I was able to pass the road before the rush hour hit J  I started my day by doing my News of the day. This is a new task given to me by Sir Jubert last February 3. He instructed me to champion a newsletter-like report every day. Basically it was just a compilation of everyday news that I will gather from various news platform online. I already did a sample of this last Friday so I know what to do now.

                I searched for at least 15 news portals and filtered their news. I selected only those that are ICT related and also business related news that have relevance to IDC in some way.  After doing the newsletter I proceed to Ms.Angel and ask if she has something for me to do.

                Again the day went through just like that.

Happy Friday : February 5

It’s a long day for me because it’s Friday again. During Fridays I have to come in IDC at 11 am because I will be commuting from Ayala, where I had to be a call center first in the morning and proceed to my internship.

It’s Payday Friday for me so I decided to buy myself a Jollibee meal this lunch J This is my first time also to ride a BGC bus going to IDC so I had a hard time distinguishing which bus stop to drop off. Well, luckily the bus stop I’m looking was just across our building so when I saw our building I realized its time to go down haha.

The day went the usual. Andrea and Liza where too busy doing secondary research while I do some updating on the excels that Ms. Angel gave me. Honestly, I was not satisfied with the kind of job I am doing but it is what they have for me and as long as I’m doing it right I’m fine J

Adjustment : February 3

                Waking up this late is not usual for me. Well my earliest is always 3 am to 4 am because I still have to go to work as a call center agent. So it’s quite hard for me to adjust my body clock because I have to wake up a bit late like 6 am or 7 am because our time as interns starts at 9 am in the morning.

                However I still managed not to be late J My day always starts by walking down the Bonifacio High Streets. I love seeing colorful stuff like boutiques and stall in BGC. Good thing the building requires us to pass through this because we have no other way haha.

                The day went so well. I don’t really know what’s with IDC that the time here is so fast. I, We can barely notice the hours. As I finished my job I just watch videos in Youtube and that’s fine because I did my job already J

Walking down BGC : February 2, 2016

                I am finishing the task that Ms.Angel gave me yesterday. My job was to update the excel file about the things I notice upon browsing the analysts profile. I’ve got a long list of analysts to check but that fine. My job is much easier than my co-interns. Besides I’m loving excel files.

                We had lunch in the pantry and try to sit in the over-looking high chairs facing the see through mirror so basically we are staring at Bonifacio Global City from 18^th Floor. It was nice to eat there but the sun rays shine a bit towards us so it’s hot, just a mild one.

                I accomplished the job earlier than Ms.Angel expected so I am overwhelmed with her comments. However, that’s the only task she has for me this day so I survived the day by updating my journal in this internship.

Happy Day : February 1

Today is the first day of the love month and it’s a happy day for me J Me Liza and Andrea decided to meet in the jeepney terminal and we came in at exactly 9 am in the office. I was still sited away from them and that’s sad L Anyways Ms.Angel had some things for me to do so I just focused my attention on it.

After lunch time we went back to our work place and start working. They are staying in the huddle area where Ms. I can’t remember the name assigned them and me still here besides the graphic designer. I was too lucky this day because sir Nico, Liza’s Boss notice me in that small area. Whoo Yes!! Sir Nico finally realized my unfortunate life there so he instructed me to join Liza, Andrea and Hannah to the huddle area and get away with their boys. That was a relief for me.

Task to do : January 29

                Today is January 29 Friday. We have no shift yesterday in IDC because it’s our restday. Well actually for me it is not because I still have to go to work in Convergys by 6:00 am in the morning and attend my afternoon class with sir Angelito at 6:00 pm. That was a usual day for me.

                Well today I continued doing my first task for Ms.Angel. Yesterday as I remembered, she and Ms.Elkie, her boss spoke to me about the task they will ask me to do. They said that I will be doing more on the back office such as updating internal data base and power points for the team.

                So today what I did is browse the IDC data base and look upon the analysts profiles. I need critic their profile photos and autobiographies if it is correct and up to date. The analysts are quite many so it took me 2 days to finish it.The day went just fine as I accomplish my first task

First Day in IDC : January 27

This is our first day in International Data Corporation or simply IDC. Yesterday, January 26,2016 we are already briefed on what to expect and what to do. We have signed our contracts already and viewed our job descriptions. So this day, we are introduced to our boss’. The four of us, me, Hannah, Liza and Andrea were distributed to our assigned Bosses. Hannah, Andrea and Liza were assigned to assist the Research analyst of IDC and do some secondary researches for them. While I am assigned to assist the Product Marketing Manager named Angelica Beare.

In our First day I was instructed to sit beside the graphic designers of IDC. Well, I am not really comfortable sitting beside them knowing that they are boys. Haha Yes, I am aloof to boys especially when I don’t know them . It was a bad day for me actually but they hardly notice it's just that I am not comfortable. The problem is me and not them lol.

Good thing is when our Bosses invites us to eat lunch with them. Happily we joined them in one of the resto’s nearby. The place was not so cosy but the food is a real deal. We ate at Kuse in BGC and we are so happy because Sir Alon, Andrea’s boss paid for it. It was basically the highlight for the day.
