Worth the vote

Flowering words they say
fountains of fallacy
brighter future they lay
two faced advocacy

flash floods and storms array
conquerors of vote prevail
feet of poor in mud will stay.
starve in hunger day by day.

a smile with a gun on hand
fliers with money on bond
the heir in line of crown
a dynasty forever on throne

a democratic country?
under dictatorship of money.
prove me wrong then vote wisely.
place a man with certainty.

a time for you to show your worth
your the boss and head of court
stand on grounds with dignity .
be a man with love for his country.

I wonder how much time you spent to complete this poem. You must have a lot of dedication for the country to be able to write this. Good piece. :)

This one's very timely for this Monday's election. I guess we don't have the right to complain about our leaders if we don't exercise our right to vote.

Nice piece. There's still hope in our country. I hope this coming election, we'll choose our leaders wisely.

Filipinos deserve the best leaders and we owe it to ourselves to vote responsibly against all odds.

Let us all pray that everyone that will be voting would realize the importance of what they need to do, not just for the country but for themselves and their family.

Great poem. Not a lot of people would take the time to write about voting and encouraging others to vote right and you did a great job on this.

Very timely poem. It's good to know that you're only 17 and yet you show concern on politics.
